White or beige leather sofas

Models made with light-colored leather are even more delicate. Therefore, avoid contact and/or rubbing with clothing that can bleed the dye, such as jeans, as it could be absorbed by the skin. Under no circumstances should newspapers be left in contact with the skin, as the ink could be absorbed.

5 tips for sofa maintenance

Cleaning a leather or fabric sofa to keep it beautiful over time isn't an art reserved for upholsterers, and above all, you don't need magic potions or secret formulas. Regular cleaning is the first and simplest strategy to keep it in tip-top condition and limit wear and tear on the upholstery over time. Before washing the upholstery or using specific products, such as for leather upholstery, we invite you to read our five tips for the routine care of your sofa or armchair. The symbols in washing instructions

In the fabric data sheet, which accompanies every sofa purchased, the washing instructions for the fabric are detailed using symbols, which we list below.

The textile product cannot be washed in water.

Hand wash: do not machine wash. Max temperature 40°C. Short washing time. Press and, if necessary, rub very gently. Rinse very gently. Do not wring.

Machine wash. Max temperature 30°C. Normal mechanical action. Normal rinse. Normal spin.

Machine wash. Max temperature 30°C. Reduced mechanical action. Rinse at a gradually decreasing temperature (by gradually adding cold water). Reduced spin.

The textile product cannot be dry-cleaned.

Dry-cleanable with perchloroethylene, monofluorotrichloroethane, hydrocarbons, using normal processes (trichloroethylene must not be used).

Dry-cleanable with perchloroethylene, monofluorotrichloroethane, hydrocarbons, but with strict limitation on the addition of water and certain restrictions regarding mechanical action or drying temperature, or both.

Dry-cleanable with all solvents normally used in dry cleaning.

May be treated with chlorine-based products.

The textile product cannot be treated with chlorine.

Ironing: maximum soleplate temperature 110°C. Place a damp cloth between the iron and the fabric.

Ironing: maximum soleplate temperature 150°C. Place a damp cloth between the iron and the fabric.

Ironing: maximum soleplate temperature 200°C. Place a damp cloth between the iron and the fabric.

The textile product cannot be ironed.

Ironing: max. iron soleplate temperature 110 degrees C. Iron on the reverse.

Can be centrifuged.

Do not spin. Do not twist.

The textile product does not tolerate tumble drying.

Tumble drying.

Drying in a vertical position (hanging), after squeezing and/or centrifuging.

Drying in a vertical position (hanging) of the textile product soaked in water, i.e. without squeezing and/or centrifugation.

Drying on a flat surface (lying flat).
